Our History

From Grassroots to Growth

Imagine Children’s Museum began in 1991 as a grassroots effort to create a place in Snohomish County for families and children to enjoy quality time together. In our early days, Imagine operated in small, leased spaces, but in 2004 a capital campaign made it possible for us to purchase our permanent home in downtown Everett. Since then, over four million visitors from greater Puget Sound and beyond have enjoyed our programs, exhibits, and activities! In 2022, Imagine doubled its size by opening a three-story expansion packed with brand new interactive exhibits and dynamic play spaces.
